1. I've dressed up in my finest
2.  and I'm out on Friday night.
3. I've hooked up with a contact
4.  from an online dating site.
   
   
5. She's into science fiction
6.  so I looked it up online,
7. And used my newfound knowledge
8.  to impress her over wine.
   
   
9. "I'm keen on Harry Potter
10.  and the rest of Tolkien's work,
11. And Star Wars: I'm the biggest fan
12.  of Captain Spock and Kirk."
    
    
13. I couldn't help but notice
14.  when I spoke she seemed to wince.
15. She made some vague excuse and left.
16.  We haven't spoken since.
