The Cost of Christmas Crisis

1. The toughest Christmas I recall,
2. Just Noodles for our Christmas lunch.
3. Too poor to purchase meat at all,
4. No turkey, goose or ham to munch.
   
   
5. Their Noodles boiling on the flame
6. The children looking on, agog.
7. Then crying when their dinner came:
8. Old Noodles was a lovely dog.
